I am a professional bass player on double bass and electric bass (including fretless) for over 20 years.

Based in Nottingham in the UK I'm currently working for P&O with one of their 'dep' bands that covers for the resident 7 piece orchestra of 3 ships in their fleet when they go on leave between contracts.This involves going on for 2 or 3 cruises on one ship then back for a week or so and on to the next ship and so on.

The work involves playing for musical theatre style production shows,backing cabaret artistes, playing ballroom and jazz as and when required. Obviously a high level of versatility is required along with first rate sight reading skills in order to do this gig.

Back home, I work freelance in many different styles from classical and jazz, big band, musical theatre,sessions,jazz gigs, salsa and just about everything else in between with a particular fondness for the music of Brazil and Latin America. In the past I have done residencies as well as tours, both at home and abroad.
